Welcome to Issue 26 of the 11ty Bundle. 11ty, aka Eleventy, is a static site generator that is designed to be simple, flexible, and highly customizable. It is built on Node.js and allows developers to create websites by transforming templates and data into static HTML files. It supports multiple templating languages, including HTML, Markdown, Nunjucks, Liquid, and more, which gives developers the freedom to choose the languages they are most comfortable with or that best suit their project's needs.
2024 is off to a booming start with 18 new posts since the last issue. We're closing in on 900 posts in the Bundle.
I've started using Inoreader as my feed reader and it has some features that make it a lot easier to scour my eleventy billion feeds to find new Eleventy-related content. It's not free, but I was able to take advantage of a year-end promo they had going to get the first year at a discount.
Zach has cranked out the alpha.4 release of Eleventy 3.0.
Last week, I added search (now on every page) search functionality to this blog along with Robb Knight's post-graph plugin to see the frequency of these posts. Like I did with my personal site, I used pagefind, an awesome plugin from Liam Bigelow at Cloud Cannon. If you've got a blog, you should consider adding search...especially if it has enough posts that require pagination. It's incredibly simple and lightweight. And you can find a bunch of posts right here on this site that show how others have done it.
I don't come across a lot of new starters. But last week, I found a really nice one for building a resume page. Here's the repo. Better yet, here's the demo and the post about it. The author, Gurpreet Singh also joins the list with his own site, now built with Eleventy.
Until next time...
